Brett Mendenhall, MPH, brings a wealth of experience with him to the Critical Reliability Concepts team, in the areas of public health, small business development, and marketing. He currently works for a social marketing company, Better World Advertising, which promotes the public health causes of government and nonprofit agencies throughout the country. Topics range from HIV awareness to foster care to tobacco control. Brett also maintains a list of marketing and business development clients, in the areas of holistic wellness, public health, and technology, based in the Bay Area. Previously he served as Executive Director of the Center for HIV Identification, Prevention, and Treatment Services (CHIPTS) at UCLA, contributing to the advancement of research practice and innovative health communication methods in the field of behavioral HIV research. Brett supported many business development initiatives at the center through grant writing and other funding methods.
Brett also continues his work as the Director of Operations for a cause marketing and event production company based in San Francisco and Los Angeles, which has allowed him to combine his passion for event planning and management with social activism. He plans to utilize these skills in the planning of fundraising events related to Critical Reliability Concepts.
Brett is a firm believer in the power of technology to transform the way we live our lives for the better. He is thrilled to be working with Critical Reliability Concepts to further this lifetime initiative. Brett hopes to expand his reach in the intersection of technology and public health through this essential work.
Originally from Bainbridge Island, Washington, Brett is now a proud resident of San Francisco. In his free time, he can be found practicing Bikram and vinyasa yoga and exploring the Bay Area by bike. Every summer Brett joins two thousand other riders for an annual fundraising bike ride spanning 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
